Darlene Gurewitz
Darlene Gurewitz is an attorney at Castelblanco Law Group, where she specializes in habitability law, representing families and their children living in unsafe and uninhabitable apartments, and holding negligent landlords accountable.
Originally from Calexico-Mexicali, Darlene earned her B.A. from UC Berkeley and her J.D. from Loyola Law School. She previously worked with the ACLU in New York, advocating for social immigrants’ and civil rights.
Darlene enjoys writing, and her work has been featured in publications such as “The Survivors: Stories of People Released from ICE Detention During the COVID-19 Pandemic”.
