Eric Castelblanco
Eric Castelblanco, the founder and managing attorney of Castelblanco Law Group, APLC, is a prominent advocate for tenants’ rights. Since 1995, he has passionately represented over ten thousand tenants, handling numerous habitability cases against negligent landlords and securing verdicts and settlements exceeding $200 million for clients facing extreme living conditions.
Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Eric’s remarkable journey brought him to Los Angeles, where he grew up. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola Marymount University and became a Certified Public Accountant in California. Continuing his education, Eric earned his Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School in 1991.

Eric Castelblanco was born in Bogota, Colombia, and moved to Los Angeles, California, with his parents when he was just 2 years old. His father Edilberto Castelblanco, an aerospace machinist, and Mother Ana Esperanza started their own small business, which ignited Eric’s entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to be an advocate to his community.
Eric Castelblanco broke barriers by becoming the first in his family to attend college. He excelled academically, graduating at the top of his class with a degree in accounting from Loyola Marymount University. He then pursued his passion for law, earning a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School.
In 1997, Eric Castelblanco established Castelblanco Law Group, a firm committed to advocating for the underserved community in matters of tenants’ rights, personal injury, child lead poisoning, and wrongful death cases. Over the past 27 years, the firm has secured over $200 million in compensation for its clients.s.
In 2015, Attorney Castelblanco purchased a building in Studio City, California. Over the past 25 years, the legal team and staff have passionately represented over ten thousand clients in habitability lawsuits, against negligent landlords.
In 2022, Castelblanco Law Group celebrated a significant milestone, marking 25 years of exceptional legal advocacy under the leadership of Attorney Eric Castelblanco.
